2023 Nepal Healing Trip

In September 2023, eight dedicated acupuncturists, including Dr. Kyung Shin, traveled to Nepal as part of the Sharing Hearts in Nepal mission. Over the course of two impactful weeks, the team provided free acupuncture treatments to more than 300 patients, including local Nepali residents and Tibetan refugees, across four different sites.

The healing efforts were met with deep gratitude from patients, local leaders, and monastic institutions. In recognition of their service, the team received multiple Letters of Appreciation from:

• Pema Ts’al Sakya Monastic Institute

• Himalaya Eye Hospital

• Tashi Palkhiel Tibetan Settlement Office

• Local community officials

These tokens of thanks reflect the deep impact of the team's care, commitment, and compassion — offering not just treatment, but connection, dignity, and hope.
